There is a passion of the American Classic Car that comes before all economic calamities. Who among us have not desired to own one of those roaring honeys of the muscle car times? Sure we tool around in those tiny lightweight cars to save on fuel and you worry about the mileage but at our house we keep our baby in the garage where we can look at her, polish her, tweak her and get ready for that perfect ride once a month. What happiness!
Sure there will always be a need for the grease monkey to have a project toy to work on. When you think back just a few years or so ago before the world wide web, there were still [lenty of collectible cars that were being brought back to life. Most of the older generations had a project car just to drive to work in. Some of these everyday cars were plain Janes and most of us had regular jobs and the price of a new car was beyond our means so we built one.
